Google has unveiled a new AI-powered tool called ‘Help Me Write’ at the Google I/O 2023 event.

Google announced a new Gmail feature that will allow the email app to write full emails on your behalf. The “Help Me Write” feature utilizes artificial intelligence to create email drafts based on user input, allowing for faster and easier email composition.

With Help Me Write, you can craft a complete email by providing inputs to Gmail. It’s like starting from scratch and letting the tool do the rest.

According to Abhishek Agrawal – 360World consulting editor :- this new feature will save a lot of time and effort in writing emails to corporates for any rationale. Abhishek is confident that the ability to improve and constant AI learning will be the key driving force for ‘Help Me Write’ successful implementation and usage in corporate consumers, small businesses, enterprises, and educational institutions in more countries and languages.

According to Google Workspace, With these features, you’ll be able to:

  • draft, reply, summarize, and prioritize your Gmail
  • brainstorm, proofread, write, and rewrite in Docs
  • bring your creative vision to life with auto-generated images, audio, and video in Slides
  • go from raw data to insights and analysis via auto completion, formula generation, and contextual categorization in Sheets
  • generate new backgrounds and capture notes in Meet
  • enable workflows for getting things done in Chat

This feature is an advanced version of Smart Compose, which adds a brief phrase to your response based on the email you’ve received.

In a demonstration of the tool, Pichai used “Help me write” to respond to an email saying the recipient’s flight was cancelled. The demonstrator selected the tool’s icon and entered “ask for a full refund for this cancelled flight” in the prompt box. It quickly generated a response draft that included all the necessary information from the airline’s message and asked for the requested refund.

The ‘refine’ option would be available if you are not happy with the outcome, with prompts like “formalize”, “elaborate,” and “shorten.”

Note this feature can be used by anyone as per the Google policy( once it is rolled out in Google Workspace updates)

Leading the charge towards a more efficient future are corporate giants such as Microsoft and Google, who are paving the way in the pursuit of time-saving solutions. Reference Yahoo Finance, Vox360 Ways
